Joshua Harris was born in Sacramento, California, and moved to Las Vegas in 1980. Joshua earned the Boy Scout’s highest honor, the Eagle Scout award, and graduated from Bonanza High School. After high school, he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pennsylvania.
Joshua graduated from Utah Valley State College in Orem, Utah, in 2002 with an associate’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in legal studies, earning Dean’s List honors. During his undergraduate studies, Joshua participated in the Law Society and was active in promoting the legal studies program at UVSC. He also fulfilled an internship in personal injury law during this time.
Joshua attended the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California, excelling in civil procedure, evidence, advanced torts, and corporations. During law school, Joshua spent a summer studying constitutional law and human rights under United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy in Salzburg, Austria. He also served as an assistant to the Dean of Admissions of McGeorge. Joshua began working for Richard Harris Law Firm in 1994 after he clerked there for his final year in law school, during which time he developed his skills in negotiation, litigation strategy, and trial preparation.
